These resources contain over 10,000 references classified under three general headings: Art, Society and Multimedia. In the Art section, you can find a broad selection of audio CDs, CD-ROMs and monographs by artists as well as critical and theoretical writings on the fine arts, sound, image and the digital arts.
The Society section brings together classic works in the human sciences and documents related to the history of science and new technology. It includes works by most of the critical thinkers on liberalism and globalisation (Haraway, Butler, Jameson, Rancière, Badiou, Balibar, Negri, Agamben, Zizek).
The Multimedia section boasts a vast array of technical works and CD-ROMs linked with the theme of the collection.
“A well-known, understood, neatly filed and catalogued poet who lies printed on the shelves of this sterile library in the Ecole Normale and who is not somewhere, who is not nurtured in some heart, is a dead poet,” claimed Charles Péguy. The team at the Espace multimedia gantner take this quote to heart and strive to give life to the library which is in constant contact and symbiosis with artists and the general public (readers, listeners, internet surfers and visitors).[/vc_column_text]
